Standard First Aid & CPR-C/AED

Time: 2 days  Fee: $105 per person

Designed to meet industry, business and government requirements, Standard level first aid is a modular course for those who want to learn more first aid skills.

The Standard level first aid course is built on the same core and elective lessons as the Emergency level course. The course includes core and elective lessons as well as a written exam. Standard First Aid is recommended for worksites with 20-99 employees.

Marine Basic First Aid

Time: 2 days  Fee: $130 per person

This is an excellent course for both the recreational boater and the professional mariner. This course is similar to Standard First Aid with CPR. It is accompanied by a Marine Supplement which includes chapters on Marine related topics. This course is approved by Transport Canada and meets the requirements for those in the marine industry who require this certification.

Marine Advanced First Aid

Time: 5 days  Fee: $385 per person

This course is similar to the Advanced Medical First Responder I class. It includes the use of oxygen, spinal immobilization, and advanced first aid skills, as well as CPR and AED. It is accompanied by a Marine Supplement which includes chapters on marine related topics. This course is approved by Transport Canada and meets the requirements for those in the marine industry who require this certification.

Medical First Responder

Time: 5 days  Fee: $350 per person

This course is designed for industrial responders, and those involved in high risk sports or hobbies. It meets the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations for work sites with 100 employees or more per shift.  It includes training in topographical terms, anatomy, CPR Level C and AED.

Healthcare Provider CPR

Time: 4 hours  Fee: $45 per person

This course was specifically designed for those who require it for future enrolment in certain university courses as well as workers in the health care field who work under a medical license. This course offers Standard First Aid Training as well as training in all levels of CPR and Artificial Respiration, (AR), use of the Automated External Defibrillator, (AED), and the use of a Bag Valve Mask (BVM).

CPR-C/AED

Time:3 hours  Fee: $40 per person

The most comprehensive level of training available, this course provides all the skills required for Adult, Child, and Infant Resuscitation; including One and Two Rescuer CPR, First Aid for Choking, and proper use of barrier devices.  Automated External Defibrillation (AED) is now includes as part of our CPR Level “C” class.

Defensive Driving

LINE DEFENSIVE DRIVING 3 DEMERIT REDUCTION PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This 6 hour online Defensive Driving program is approved by the Prince Edward Island Government for reduction of 3 demerits points from a PEI operator’s licence. A minimum mark of 80% must be obtained on the final exam to qualify for the demerit point reduction.

This program contains audio, video, and interactive exercises. If you are looking for a comprehensive defensive driving program that also is approved for demerit reduction, then this is it. This program teaches the trademarked SAFER System of Defensive Driving.

Babysitting Course

Time: 7 hours  Fee: $50 per person

*Optional early drop off (8:30am) and late pick up (4:30pm) for an additional $10

Designed for youth ages 11-15, this course teaches the skills necessary to care for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers. It emphasizes safety, dealing with emergencies, and first aid basics. Topics include Basic First Aid, Injury Prevention, Responsibilities of a Mature Babysitter, and hands-on practice will help build confidence. Course materials include a student activity book, a certificate suitable for framing, and a wallet-size certificate.

Home Alone

Time: 2.5 hours  Fee: $25 per person

Ideally, children should be supervised at all times. Home Alone is for 9-11 year old’s who may have to spend a brief amount of time alone due to parents stuck in traffic, or any unforeseen circumstances. Students will learn home safety procedures, ways to obtain emergency help and when it is appropriate to call 911. Other topics include basic safety tips, healthy eating, fighting boredom, overcoming fears, and fire safety.
